Ages: Grades 2-5

Ready to keep the music going? Session 2 of our Beginner Guitar Group Lessons is designed for both returning students and new beginners! Kids in grades 2–5 will continue exploring the fundamentals of guitar in a fun, supportive group setting. Students who participated in the first session will build on what they’ve learned—strengthening their chord knowledge, improving strumming techniques, and learning new songs—while new students will be guided through the basics at a comfortable pace. Everyone will have the opportunity to play together, build confidence, and enjoy making music as a team. Students should provide their own instruments when possible. River Tree Arts has a very limited number of guitars available to loan for this class.

In this session, students will:

• Review and strengthen basic chords and strumming patterns

• Learn new songs and rhythms

• Improve timing, coordination, and ensemble playing

• Continue developing fundamental music skills in a fun, social environment
