The Business of Art

Creating and marketing your work (and yourself) are two completely different challenges, which makes the business end of presenting your art to the world feel overwhelming. This new series of workshops will provide an overview of how to sell your work, both online and through galleries, utilizing social media and digital marketing to define your personal brand.

Workshop #1: You Really Do Need a Website.
But which platform is a good fit for you? Where do you start?  This workshop will take place on October 17.

Workshop #2: Online Promotion and Sales.
An overview of the pros and cons of utilizing Etsy, Instagram, Facebook, Google, and Youtube.  This workshop will take place on October 24.

Workshop #3: Are you Ready to Approach a Gallery/a Guild/a Juried Show?
Tips on prepping and presenting your work, defining your brand, finding a good ‘fit’, and the ins and outs of the submission process.  This workshop will take place on November 7.
